This fabric was given to me not too long ago and I cannot imagine how I would ever use it. I am going out on a limb assuming it is Hawaii, since I have never been either.
It measures 2 yards 10 inches and is the complete width of fabric for the entire length. Someone bought it for something and then never used it.
BONUS!! During my super deep cleaning in mid-June I found some scraps of this fabric that I can add to this vacation giveaway. Surfers!! It is approximately half of yard total.
Please leave me a favorite vacation memory in the comments. On (or about!) June 30 a lucky winner will be chosen.
Does this make it Vintage fabric?!?! |

I can't wait to read your vacation memories.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite vacation was my honeymoon. We went to a place called Drake's Anchorage Resort on Mosquito Island in the Virgin Islands. I don't think the place exists anymore, but it was gorgeous, especially the aptly named (for us) Honeymoon Beach, and the food was so good!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to relax after all that wedding planning. We took 10 days, because someone had correctly told me that a one-week honeymoon isn't enough. :)
Mine is also our honeymoon to Door County, Wisconsin. We have gone back twice since there is so much to see and do. We love the fish boils, cherries and wine. Last time we even stayed at the same resort that we had honeymooned at 15 years earlier!
ReplyDeleteKansas resident, alone, I flew to Maine, and took a Windjammer cruise in a converted turn of the last century merchant ship. Amazing scenery and food.
ReplyDeleteAgain, from KS, my brother, myself, and a Kowasaki, biked to Padre Island.
Two best vacations.
I'd love to be in your fabric drawing.
Congratulation! You are the winner of the June giveaway at Pack Rat with a Plan! Please send me your mailing address and I'll send the fabric out to you this week.
DeleteI also have great memories of Padre Island. When I was a girl we camped there more summers than I can even remember. My sisters and I were just talking about it earlier this month! Lots of fun.
Thanks for playing along in June.
When our kids were young, my MIL vacationed in Florida to get away from the cold Canadian winter. We decided to go down on Christmas break, but didn't tell the kids. We packed suitcases while they were at school, and loaded our van after they went to bed, then suggested at breakfast the next morning that we'd like to go away on a trip, IF they were interested. Of course, we'd have to tell the customs officer at the American border where we were headed, but we got away with telling him that we were going to St. Petersburg. We didn't know that the kids had an atlas with them though, until we heard a questioning voice from the back - "We're going to Russia?" Hubby and I had a very difficult time not laughing out loud! (the kids figured it out the next day...) Best family vacation EVER!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance at a fun giveaway! A memorable family vacation was one that started out cancelled: the beach place that we reserved down south got damaged by a storm. We revamped the plan and went north instead, visiting Maine and Prince Edward Island.
ReplyDeleteEmerald Lake, north of Gothic, Colorado--wildflowers, mountains, cold water, clear skies, cool temperature--I'm ready to go back! Now! :)
