August Giveaway

I am nearing the end of my hexagon block journey.  This was an idea that Little S saw and liked.  I have worked away at it as Leaders & Enders for about a year now and am winding down.
Brights pinned and ready to quilt.
The bright hexagon quilt just needs a binding.
Tropicals on the design wall.
The tropical hexagon blocks are done.
Pastels waiting for some friends.
The pastel hexagon block layout is in need of a few more, but there are no more in the precut bag that will work with this color scheme.

So I have decided to give away the remaining precut hexagons.  Many are fussy cut for an I Spy quilt.  Some are from the same fabric.  There are approximately 75 hexagons in total.
Variety of Hexagons
Warning: there were cut with scissors about 15-20 years ago and are not uniform.  The winner may want to trim them down to be smaller uniform hexagons or cut them into squares or take your chances like it did!

Just leave a comment telling what is most unusual block shape or tricky combination you have sewn.

As always thank you for participating.  A winner will be chosen at the end of August.

  1. Probably a drunkards path. Can't say I've done anything really difficult other than applique.

  2. I have the accuquilt yeah paperpiecing die. I was cutting the fabric hexis from 12x18 fabric started the crank through before I realized I also had the fabric laying on the card side of the die. 16 bitty hexis. A couple days ago, I sewed them into a 5" Grandmothers flower. I'm going to make a pincushion.

  3. Usually, I cut squares, rectangles, hexagons and/or other typical shapes. I did a baby quilt for my niece using tumblers. With the new rulers and Accuquilt, that's no big deal, but this was WAY before any of that, and they were all cut by hand. It turned out well, but I haven't been tempted to do it again. =) Thanks for a chance to win the hexagons. I did make an I Spy with hexagons and equilateral triangles, also a long time ago, and I loved it.

  4. I haven't been very adventurous. I have only worked with hexagons.
