Later this afternoon is my niece's engagement party and I'm heading over shortly to help prepare. Then Middle E and her husband will come for the event and the night. The house is ready, but I want to spend as much time with them as possible, so this will be quick.
It was a busy week at school, so it was good that my sewing for the week had already been planned. I was able to get a bit of quilting done on the panel quilt most every day. I'm using the walking foot for straight lines - that all I know how to do - so it is easy to work at in in short bursts. 15 minutes is adding up!

I'm learning walking foot quilting and straight lines are more than OK. It's hard to get them straight! Congrats on all the sewing time this year. Enjoy the family time.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how you keep track of what yardage you are using from your stash other than big pieces......hhmmm
ReplyDeleteI like math. I calculate the area (length x width) of all the pieces - either individually or in multiples. I do the same thing with backing and binding. Then take my total area and divide by 1,440 which is the area of a yard of fabric that is 42" wide. Hope that makes sense.
DeleteSteady progress is good progress IMO.
