Then it was the end of the school year and all that that entails at work and at home plus I had an extra side job the last 6 weeks of the school year. Middle E graduated from high school and that was a very busy few weeks. After that was a trip to Guatemala to visit family immediately followed by three summer camps at work that I was responsible for planning and prepping. I was very thankful I had not committed to VBS this summer. I was already exhausted.
I did get a few Dear Jane blocks done when I couldn't work on a large project. That helped me keep my sanity I think. I also worked on Middle E's high school scrap book/photo album which is kind of crafty, but not the same as sewing. I really don't do well if I can't be creative on a regular basis.
Once my niece, who also graduated, chose her graduation quilt I was off and running. As soon as that one was finished Middle E was ready with a decision on what she wanted for her graduation quilt. Both of those were challenges, but in a good way.
I just just finished Middle E's quilt, so now I will try to slowly catch back up and document what I have done during the forced absence. The good thing is that minimal fabric has been added.
