It was an amazing trip. It had been 3.5 years since the girls and I had been in Guatemala. That's a long time, but it some ways if felt as if it were just yesterday.
I was worried about Little S since she does not speak or understand Spanish anymore. But smiles and giggles know no boundaries and she did fine. Celebrated her 8th birthday very very happily while we were there. She loved picking out her pinata and then filling it, hitting it, and gathering goodies.
Middle E had already had her 15th birthday with a party in the US and had received her Quinceanos Signature Quilt. But we celebrated again with a more traditional Quinceanos fiesta with the Guatemalan family. It was a surprise for her so that added to the fun.
