A busy few weeks led to less sewing, but random progress was made. To get to one of my trainings I had to go right past a LQS that services Berninas. That made the decision easier, and I dropped off my machine on the way back. I also finished dealing with the fabric from my MIL. Most is put away, but the strips still need to be trimmed down to a standard width, which is a good job when I need something mindless.

| More orange scraps than I thought. |
Since I had some clear space, I started to work on this month's RSC. I wasn't sure if I had enough orange scraps to make a crayon with no repeats, but I was successful. The tip needs to be cut to size and added on, but progress is good. However, in the middle of sewing I had a thought that orange was not this month's color. I double checked and sure enough - it should have been pink! Oh well, when the month is orange I will make a pink crayon.

No stress! Next month is orange, so it's all good!
ReplyDeleteI’m going to get my orange scraps out this week. I’m trying to get a head start on May . Nice crayon. Gail at the cozy quilter
ReplyDeleteI love your orange crayon, and even if it's not the color of the month, I can see pink fabrics on your cutting table ;) I have the same rotary cutting than yours (and love it). Thank you for sharing and linking up!
ReplyDeleteYou make the most of what time you have. The orange crayon is really bright and fun. I believe orange is May's color, so you can just right back to pink. And be right back to being caught up.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved "crayon" quilts. What a fabulous idea for the RSC. Very impressive that you have such a variety of orange scraps.
ReplyDeleteI love your crayon! Next month is orange so you will be able to sew your pink crayon! :)
